Article on Alt.NET – for Dutch readers
Dec 28th, 2008 by AZuidhof
A little less than two months ago, Microsoft offered to put an introductory article on Alt.NET in their Dutch .NET Magazine. This seemed like a good way to get a message out to the big Dutch .NET development community that there is more to development life than only MSDN (not belittling MSDN here, though). In other places Alt.NET is already old news, however it seems we’re way back here in the Netherlands
At least repeated requests to join our AltdotNetherlands community have led to a small subcommunity of only(n==6) so far.
Now, Microsoft didn’t publish the article in their last December issue. Since they seem hesitant to even publish it in an upcoming edition (at least they cannot make a promise when it will be published), I decided that waiting on their decision would not really help getting people in the know. Therefore I decided to post it on my own. I created a new personal site which now only contains this article, and in the future will probably act as a sort of portfolio, or whatever. Not sure yet. But for your Dutch reading pleasure, now first enjoy Alt.NET: wat is dat eigenlijk? (in Dutch obviously)
